Bequests

SPA greatly appreciates the generosity of families and individuals who choose to support our work through charitable bequests. These lasting legacies help us continue our work to protect Australia's species and landscapes for generations to come.

What types of charitable bequest can I make?

Ask your legal advisor about the variety of charitable bequests you can make. You may choose to leave:

  • A specific sum of money
  • A percentage of your estate
  • A residual bequest (whatever is left after all other gifts and costs have been deducted from your estate)
  • A gift of property, shares or insurance policies

Even if you already have a will you can make a codicil to add SPA to your existing beneficiaries.

Suggested wording

Here is an example of possible wording:

I give and bequeath to Sustainable Population Australia Inc. (Association Number A01831) of PO Box 3851, Weston, ACT 2611, the sum of $ _____ . I direct that the written receipt of the Treasurer or other officer of SPA shall be sufficient discharge therefor for my executor/executrix.

Our efforts will extend far into the future, through a bequest to SPA yours can too.
